Why Professionals Choose Run-In
Run-In is formulated with high-grade carnauba wax, nature’s hardest and most durable natural wax, blended with specialised compounds to deliver performance that cheaper, paraffin-based alternatives simply cannot match. It contains no silicones, making it fully compatible with PVA and suitable for workshops that require complete flexibility in their release process.

Professionals worldwide use Run-In as their sole release agent throughout their entire production process, and for good reason. It builds a hard, resilient wax layer that protects the tool, ensures part consistency, and delivers a mirror-like surface finish on every pull. For most operations, Run-In is all you will ever need.

Application Instructions

  • Ensure the mould is completely free from contaminants such as oils, grease, dust, or leftover release agents.
  • Use a quality mould cleaner to thoroughly clean the surface and allow it to dry fully.
  • Using circular motions, apply a thin, even layer of Ramwax® Run-In with an applicator pad or clean, dry cloth, covering the entire mould surface evenly.
  • Allow the wax to haze naturally – this typically takes 5 to 10 minutes depending on room temperature and humidity.
  • Once hazed, buff with a clean microfibre cloth or soft absorbent towel.
  • Run-In buffs off effortlessly, leaving a smooth, high-gloss finish with minimal effort.
  • Repeat for a total of 5 to 7 coats, allowing at least 15 minutes between coats.
  • Once the mould has been conditioned, apply an additional coat for the first two to three parts.
  • The durable wax layer will then support multiple pulls before re-application is necessary.
